My girl Midna was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in September. The prognosis she was given was a handful of months. I’ve been taking her on road trip adventures to give her the best time possible.

I’ve been prepping my heart to take a beating, and at the same time doing my damnest to harness steel into my resolve to be there for her when the time comes.

Video production will be up in the air. If I ever feel the need to come back, this outlet will be utilized. Happy holidays to everyone.

“Hey Goat Locker. Hope all is well with the Mess.

I'm sending this to inform that unfortunately some stuff went down a couple months ago here in Great Lakes. I'll be heading home to NC within the next week or so.

There had been an incident with a male recruit where I had gone to 'knife hand' during training, unintentionally striking them in the stomach and causing them to take a half step back. This was meant as a training gesture, but we were close in proximity and there were higher ups observing the incident.

Things were intense and I had been loud when they -nor- I weren't required to be; I was hit with a 'khaki misconduct'. The powers that be decided to put my orders up for reassignment, with no further disciplinary action taken.

For the past two months I've been working with graduating Sailors on hold, training and mentoring them. I've even had the opportunity to meet and speak with the now graduated Sailor mentioned above, Ramirez. I let him know that it wasn't their fault; the fleet needs great Sailors like him and wishing him the best of luck in his future.

I've been processing a lot in this time, and feel that while I may have dropped the ball on a newfound passion in life, I can possibly start the process of forgiving myself. The situation sucks, I spurned an amazing opportunity. But with luck, I'm hoping to find my footing within the next few years.
